I ate beans on toast, a bowl of stew, some pickled onions and a bowl of cereal throughout the day not to bad i dont think relatively healthy, had a feeling fat day yesterday tho for some reason!

Went to doctors about cough, he gave me a course of steroids so lets hope that cleans it up!

Blog 15 - Day 41

Hey everyone,

I hope you will be glad to hear i am back!!!!!

DID TRAINING TODAY! yayyyyy really enjoyed it, did lots of abs did lots of lower weight around 60% of my one rep max and then pushed out as many as i could do usually around 20 reps per set and about 5 sets. So i achieved a good deep burn!

I have also decided that i have cheated way to much on my "diet" the past week so i am putting this as priority number one in my aim to lose the fat! No cheating and be strict even if i dont train be strict with the diet!!!!!

Eating today consisted of, Cereal for breakfast then tuna steak and plaice fillet, with peas for dinner and some cereal for tea! All relatively healthy and keeping my fat intake very low, tried to fill up on water when felt like snacking!

Still got a deep cough which is annoying but decided to try and just fight through it! SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

I had some pasta for dinner, then went out with a couple of the lads, had some j2o didn't drink as im now on the wagon for at least 4 weeks! But did have some chips for tea!

Sunday - Had a football match which i tried to play in apart from the fact i was coughing this big whooping cough kinda sound, which in turn had me retching pretty much the majority of the game, really starting to hack me off now! Felt proper depressed and had my sunday dinner, followed by some carte dor ice cream, later in the day i had some cheese on toast, cereal, toblerone and a pack of crisps! I dont know why i do this comfort binging!

Blog 13 - Day 37 & 38

Hey Hey,

Still not trained since last friday, throat is killing and can't stop coughing for toffee, getting frustrating now! Thursday ate a bowl of cereal and 2 pork chops, then went out on the beer for a night out, but refrained from eating when finished which is good!

Friday i had some cereal, some cheese pie and baked beans, and then mainly due to hangover i had a milkshake and quarter pounder form mcdonalds eugh, 25 grams of fat just in the burger felt so guilty!!!! Been looking back and i've been doing a fair ole bit of cheating so i think its time i pulled in my belt cuz its not good and got to get my training back on track!

Blog 12 - Day 36

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to make a quick point, this blog is totally real and honest hence i put in everytime i cheat or dont train, cuz i think thats what real life is like. I have read some blogs and it seems as tho some people neva slip up or anything! Hopefully mine comes across as real!

On to the events of today lol! Meant to train and i blew it off again, still feeling but underweather bit down in general as well as having some toilet problems hmmm!

Food wise i have eaten one bowl of cereal, 2 fish fillets, and a bowl of cereal again for dinner.

My main aim was to firstly lose the weight, and then gain muscle when i was happy with my size! However i got really badly side tracked and ended up putting on weight in muscle mass snd trying to increase my lifting power nearly every time i trained.

So i've had a reality check and gonna seriously knuckle down to weight loss, and ease up on the weights! Make sure my diet is clean with no cheating, and try and up some cardio work! Heres fingers crossed! (by the way i am going out 2moro nite on a last blow out b4 i cut off alcohol for a little while)

Blog 11 - Day 34 & 35

Hey guys,

sorry will try and get this sorted so am doing it daily, just with coping with man flu as well as other things has kept me off track!

Monday did not go training as still felt ill, and decided as was really pee'd off for some unknown reason that i wasnt going to eat! So i had literally nothing all day until around 8pm, at which point i crumbled and had 2 rounds of cheese on toast, 2 packs of crisps, a bowl of rice pudding, and topped it off by ordering a take away curry! now that is some binge!!!! However it left me feeling very sick grrr!

Today i tried to be a bit more sensible, well only slightly i had 4 chicken drumsticks, and a home made low fat curry for my tea! then crackers and cheese *2 for my supper and a mini mars bar oops! not to bad but not to gr8 either!

I did however manage to go out for a jog today tho only 30 mins but every bit is good i suppose, should be cracking on with a good training session 2moro!

Looking to replace our punch bag that we obliterated, been looking for hours but still unsure on what kind to get if anyone has any sugestions these would be extremely useful many thanks!

Blog 10 - Day 31-33 Friday to sunday

Ok been a hectic weekend so not really been able to spend much time on this which has disappointed me as dont want to let it slip as soon as i do i feel my training could go the same way!
Friday i went to training and we pretty much just messed about and didnt get a lot done, was in loads of pain from wednesday as well as feeling under the weather, food intake was a fish finger sandwhich, some cheese pie and cereal for the day! Off the night I went out on the beer, stuck to vodka as to minimise my calorie intake but to be honest i got wasted :-s

Saturday felt hungover most the day, didnt eat till bout 4pm when had a small bowl of cereal then again at 8 ish and had mini fish and chips bad times! But not a mass amount to eat so didnt feel to bad!

Sunday morning woke up didnt feel great man flu is trying to keep me down, got up had some porridge and went and played football, energy levels felt ok not my greatest game in the world tho! Got home went str8 back to bed for a while, woke up had beef sandwhich for my dinner, chilled out a little and had some maltloaf with butter :-s then hit the sack!

Blog 9 - Day 31 Rest Thank you Rest

Hey all,

Today is a very well earned rest day! And boy do i need it, i feel sore pretty much all over but especially in my traps there actually really really bad and i hope it doesnt affect my training 2moro!

Had a cottage pie for lunch actually surprisingly high in protein and carbs and hardly any fat, and only 285 calories. I then had a little snack bar 90 cals, before going over the local field and striking some footballs for an hour or slow low intensity but good fun.

After this literally spent all day chilling out and relaxing, which felt pretty good! I had mash cod fish and peas and sweetcorn for dinner, and cereal for supper!

Thats about the extent of my day!

Blog 8 - Day 30 Heavy training

Hey all,

Woke up today feelin ache free and i think i needed to be. Had a really big session today and trained shoulder back and bi's!

Started with some wide arm pull ups 3 sets and as many as you can do, managed round bout 8-8-7 felt really hard today grr! Then we did some negative wide arm pull ups (mate helps lift you up, you let yourself down very slowly) these are a lot harder than they sound. After this we did some some traps, these entailed of dumbell raises slightly bent over and then bring your arms up by your head with arms slightly bent, and i supersetted them with zigzag bar pulls, pulling them up under your chin and then realeasing back down, did 4 sets of 15 reps on each straight after each other they burnt like crazy!

We then did some shoulder press with dumbells, 3 sets of 15 reps, and figured our shoulders are getting plenty of work with the pull ups etc! Then into bicep curls with the zig zag bar, was meant to be 3*15 reps we ended up doing bout 8 sets, with the last set of 40 reps (we got a bit competitive lol).

And to finish it of we did some rear deltoids followed by chin ups 3 sets of 10 and then 3 sets of negative chin ups, by this time we were really fatigued and down right shattered lol!

Food today has been, turkey sandwhich on brown bread, no butter but with tomato and salad! a bowl of cereal and creatine before training, then after training a low fat curry with rice (was yummy) and that will do me unless im hungry and will have small bowl of cereal!

My weight has actually increased since i been doing this weight loss and muscle gain program, im not to detered as i have nearly dropped a jean size, and believe the excess weight is muscle! Hopefully i can see a bigger difference in my pictures soon! Its always hard to see the results yourself! I'm out, so take care!

Blog 7 - Day 28 Cardio day

Hey guys,

Feels like im spending all my time doing these blogs but hey got to keep them coming, even if only i am reading them so far :-P

Ok so got up nice and early but chose not till eat till around midday, I had a portion of liver i know doesnt sound to appealing but its actually alright and full of nutrients! Then bout an hour before starting ym cardio session was really peckish so had 1 round of brown bread with a couple of slices of turkey on no butter.

Today was cardio day so me and mate just went for a jog at quite a good pace, as we got to the local park we decided rto do some interval sprints these involved sprinting one length then walking one length and sprinting one length and we did that fo rbout 20 mins or bout 10 sprint intervals! I found these get me most out of breathe during a football game so want to try and improve my recovery rate on them! After this we carried on with our jog all the way back home. Was doing the whole circuit for an hour, so not to bad for cardio especially as this used to be one of our rest days!

Pretty shattered now, so going to chill out and for tea i have got mash potato, carrots+suede, and then mince gravy over the top yum yum lol!

Heres the pictures for today thought i would include a normal one as standard then a tensed one from the front doesnt look to great but were in early days yet!

Blog 6 - Day 27 - New week of training

Hey Hey everyone,

Today i woke up sore!!!! lol! Still smarting from those wide arm pullups and company, as well as the savage game of football yesterday I was aching all over!

Had some Cereal for breakfast (crunchy nuts of course) with UHT no fat milk! And then a big banana and my creatine before trainin early in th afternoon!

Was a good session concentrated on Chest and tri's with a few abs today, was quite pleased with my bench press today, been trying to conquer 65kg and managed 2 sets of 10 and a set of 8, which is a small but good improvement! No to decide wether to stay on that weight Friday and push 3*10 or wether to increase weight and aim 6-8 reps unsure yet! any tips would be helpful :-D

For Dinner I had an Omlette with peas and sweetcorn, tiny portion of rice and some tuna, that sounds like a right weird combination but was nice, apart from me burning the omlette slightly grr!

Think that will do me for the day, trying to drink lots of water to give me the full feeling, and if doesnt work will have some Cereal for supper still shouldnt be that bad for the days intake! Cardio day 2moro tho and i know im still gonna be aching all will be worth it tho!

Ooh one more thing, i am currently a 34" waist jean, i tried a pair of my old 32" Jeans on today and i got into them and did the top button up, was still a bit snug but a vast improvement, lil things hey!

Blog 5 - Day 26 Football!

Hey all,

Today was my soccer match, to my delight i felt a lot fitter and did a very high intensity 90 minutes of running so got to be some good cardio! Only shame is we lost grr thats our good streak gone but look forward and we shall win next week!

Had porridge for my brekkie, which must have helped with my energy levels :-) I have had cheese pie and beans for dinner, (mash potato with bit of cheese) and a bowl of cereal for supper.

Aching a bit now and still feel sore from the wide arm pull ups on friday, must have worked hard! Oh well gonna hit the sack!

Blog 3 Day 24 - Good training day!

Hey everyone,

Today has been a good day woke up feeling motivated and ready to train! I decided today to start taking creatine I have used it before and had some good gains in what I can lift, so i am going to try it again and will only be taking it on the days that I train!

For breakfast I had a bowl of cereal (crunchy nut cornflakes) and that did me until i trained in the afternoon. After workout I had a plate of chicken and mushroom pasta, this should do me until late tonight wher ei may have a small bowl of cereal again! Only reason i had a big plate of pasta is because friday and saturday i try to eat a few more carbs to make sure i am stacked with energy for my Sunday morning Football match. Thats my thinking anyway don't kno wether it is correct or not.

Had a really good training session, did lots of diff excercises and found i had good gain on my wide arm pullups and did nearly 3 sets of 8 reps lots better than any previous attempt! along with this I did some skipping and other general weights, and tried negative reps on some ecercises which seemed to work really well!

Think thats bout all for today, lets just try and resist having a few beers tonight lol! And if i do cave will be vodka and diet coke or something equally as low cals lol! ( ok update caved and had some vodka and coke tonight, resisted any junk food at end of night tho!)

Blog 2 - Update on previous pictures and events

Hey, thought it would be good to give a quick update on things that have gone beforehand in the previous 23 days.

Been trianing hard 3 times a week and once a week soccer, and been watchin my diet fairly strictly! I have taken a picture each day and below should be a short video showing my starting picture all the way through to the current day.

Sorry about the first few pics took me a few days to get a consistent setup. All comments are very welcome, as its hard for me to spot any changes it gets me demotivated so any help you all can give would be much appreciated!

Day 1 of Blog - Photo Day 23

Hi everyone, Thanks for checking out my Blog quite new to this so please bear with me!
This is my picture at day 23 which is today, 30th October 2008. Its making me a little demotivated as im not seeing any improvement, but lets keep working away! I will post the first 22 pictures shortly!

I have been inspired to this after seeing Adam Waters Blog page and the success he has achieved. I am 5 Foot 8 Inches (around 173cm) and weigh around 13stone (182 pounds) I don't really know what weight i want to get down to but i am thinking a weight of around 160lbs would be great, i want to be slimmer but more toned and still strong for my football.

I have been watching my food carefully every day. I have been trying to slightly lower my carbs which was a big part of my usual diet, increase my protein intake and keep saturated fat under 10grams a day (recommended 20grams max). This is only a simple diet plan and one i am experimenting with i dont claim to be an expert of any kind, and any advice or help would be much appreciated.

As well as this I have been training, 3 times a week doing mainly weights and then also some skipping and punchbag work to help with cardio. I also play football (soccer) on a sunday which is a good cardio workout! From this point on i will also do a cardio session every tuesday including a good 40 minute jog, and minimum of 10mins all out on punchbag and 10minutes of high intensity skipping.

Well i think that will do for now, i will be adding a picture every day. As today is my rest day i have done no training.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.
